Sally Field’s worst on-screen kiss in her decades-long career might be a surprise to most

Sally Field has always been a favorite of mine. She is a legendary actress with exceptional talent. Additionally, the 76-year-old has had a long history of on-screen relationships.

Therefore, she has received her fair share of on-screen smooches as well.

Although she initially resisted saying whose costar it was with, she recently revealed which has been the worst.

Sally Field, who is regarded as one of the most accomplished and varied actors of her generation, has had a wonderful career in Hollywood. Her legendary performances in a variety of movies and television shows have enchanted us.

For instance, I’ll never forget how amazing she was in the burial scene of Steel Magnolias. In her portrayal of a woman torn by love, discouragement, fury, and grief, Sally did a superb job.

Of course, she is also well-known for her parts in well-known films and television shows, like Mrs. Doubtfire, Erin Brockovich, Smokey and the Bandit, Gidget, The Flying Nun, and Smokey and the Bandit. In Pasadena, California, Sally was born into a show business family from the working class.

However, she had a rather ordinary upbringing. When Sally was 17, she had a covert abortion, according to her autobiography, and her stepfather subjected her to some pretty cruel treatment. Her character, however, revealed her to be a stunningly modest person.

As of right now, Sally keeps up her regular job schedule. In the 2020 television series Dispatches From Elsewhere, she played Janice. She will appear in the popular television series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, which depicts the professional and private life of the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1980s, in 2022 as Jessie Buss.

It is therefore not surprising that Sally occasionally appears in interviews given how active she is.

Sally Field, a beloved star of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” opted to open up about her worst on-screen kiss on the show on Thursday, December 1 in response to a fan’s inquisitive query.

Field, 76, looked around after the question was asked, laughing, “Oh boy. Shall I really name names here?”

“I think you should,” Cohen, 54, replied.

Field caved: “Okay. This is going to be a shocker. Hold on folks.”

The Academy Award-winning actress accused her ex-boyfriend, actor Burt Reynolds, of the crime. Cohen immediately followed up by saying, “But weren’t you dating at the time?”

Field explained that it was during filming for “Smokey and the Bandit” that she had to “look the other way” during filming. She said this was because this  “just was not something he really did for you.”

“Isn’t that something,” Cohen responded in surprise.

The actress continued by saying that Reynolds did a lot of “drooling” while they were on screen together. The two co-stars first connected in 1977 while doing “Smokey and the Bandit,” and they dated for around five years after that.

According to the New York Post, Reynolds, who tragically passed away at age 82 from a cardiac arrest, discussed his friendship with Field in his autobiography But Enough About Me.

The star expressed regret about their time together, wishing that he had tried harder to make things work between them.

Field told Variety in March that she had had excellent reason for ceasing communication with Reynolds throughout the last 30 years of his life.

“He was not someone I could be around,” she elaborated. “He was just not good for me in any way. And he had somehow invented in his rethinking of everything that I was more important to him than he had thought, but I wasn’t. He just wanted to have the thing he didn’t have. I just didn’t want to deal with that.”

Always have had nothing but high praise and respect for the works of Sally Field. Absolutely top-notch!
