Are you the type of person who looks in the toilet before you sit down? After reading this article, you may just do it every time you head into the bathroom.
When Thanat Thangtewanon was just trying to get a few minutes of peace and quiet by sitting on the toilet, he had no idea that his world was going to change. Just a moment after sitting down, he felt a sharp pain in his testicles and then discovered the unthinkable.
The pain came from a bite from a huge python that was hiding in the toilet at his home. If this doesn’t give you the willies, I’m not sure what will!
Many people were understandably curious about what took place, and he gave a statement, saying: “I felt something biting my balls. It was very painful, so I put my hands in the toilet to see what was wrong. I was shocked that I grabbed a snake.
“I quickly stood up and plucked it out. I felt pain, really bad pain, and there was blood everywhere, but I was more shocked to have found a python in the toilet.”
When he discovered what had happened, he grabbed the toilet brush and started hitting the 12-foot snake as hard as he could. The snake ended up dying, and fortunately, it loosened its grip on his testicles before dying.
After this horrible experience, he was rushed to the hospital to get a tetanus vaccine shot. With all the blood seen in the image, you would think that the injuries would’ve been significant but, despite the fact that they happened in such a sensitive area of the body, they weren’t that bad.
The doctors told him that he would need stitches and would heal within weeks. He actually had a good outlook on it, saying: “My testicles are safe now. I’m lucky it wasn’t a venomous snake. A cobra would have killed me.
“But I haven’t used that toilet again since. Every time I go, I check what’s inside and put a brush in there to make sure.”
You might be interested in knowing that this wasn’t the first time a Python attacked someone from inside of the toilet. In 2016, a man was bitten on the penis and his wife had to pry the python’s mouth open. The man did pass out because of blood loss but survived after being treated.
