“We tried to get her to understand that we’re different people …”
This is Paris — a sweet dog who serves as official greeter at her dad, Steve Niño’s home-based tattoo studio in Bogota, Colombia.
Over the years, she’s seen plenty of new faces come and go. But still, nothing could have prepared her for one recent encounter.

The other day, Steve had an appointment with his friend’s husband, a man named Nico. Paris greeted the stranger as she normally does — unaware that Nico was not alone.
That day, he’d brought along his identical twin brother, Benji, who waited outside in the living room.

Later on, as the appointment was wrapping up, Benji decided to join Nico in the studio.
It was at that moment that Paris first laid eyes on them both, side by side.
She was completely blown away:
“Everyone in the room laughed about this situation,” Steve told The Dodo. “Paris’ reaction was so different and unique.”
The pup, seeing what appeared very much to be the same person standing in two places at once inside the studio, was utterly perplexed.
It had Paris questioning everything.

“She was so cute,” Nico told The Dodo. “We tried to get her to understand that we’re different people, but I think she just couldn’t understand. This happens with our pets sometimes.”
After a few moments of confusion, Paris did eventually warm up to both twins before they departed, if only slightly. To believe what she was seeing had been no easy task.
“I don’t think she totally accepted it,” Steve said.
