1. Potential Weight Gain
Having a nice dinner and then taking a hot shower seems like a great way to end the day and go to bed. But in fact, showering right after eating can affect your digestive system and lead to weight gain. If you must shower in the evening, it’s best to wait at least 30 minutes after dinner.

2. Harm to Your Hair
Showering just before bed leaves your hair wet. Sleeping with damp hair makes your pillowcase absorb moisture, creating a warm and humid environment ideal for harmful bacteria to grow. This can cause scalp problems like itchiness, irritation, and dandruff.

3. Difficulty Falling Asleep
Your body feels better when its temperature is slightly lower, and as it readies for sleep, your temperature naturally drops. Taking a hot shower raises your core temperature and confuses your body. So, if you can’t skip bathing before bed, take a shower 1 or 2 hours before sleeping.

4. Increased Heart Rate
Hot water raises your blood pressure. Medical experts warn that it can even overheat your body and stress your heart. If your heart is racing, you’ll likely toss and turn at night, leading to more health issues.
