“No! Bedtime!”
Chowder the bulldog has always been a curious pup, but when he discovered an old skateboard, it quickly turned into a full-blown obsession.
“The first time I laid it down, he was on his stomach, and he just started rolling across the driveway,” Jami, Chowder’s mom, said in a video for The Dodo. “He really didn’t want help. He was trying to learn. He was super focused!”

Chowder used his little legs to propel himself across the driveway on his new skateboard and was instantly having a blast. Unfortunately, the old hand-me-down skateboard wasn’t quite big enough for Chowder’s chubby body. His parents wanted him to be able to skateboard to his heart’s content — so they ordered him his very own custom board.
As soon as his dad sent his new skateboard rolling down the driveway, Chowder was off, and the rest is history.
There’s nothing in the world Chowder loves more than skateboarding, and he can never get enough of it. Even when it’s time to go inside, he’s still trying to convince his parents to let him keep going.
“He just wants to skate,” Jami said.

When it’s time for bed, Chowder is still dreaming of skateboarding — and tries to insist on taking his beloved board to bed with him.
“You can’t take the skateboard to bed,” Jami said in the video. “No! Bedtime!”

Over the years, Chowder has become more and more of a skater dog and is basically a professional now. His parents have since added another bulldog to the family, Maddie, who loves to watch her big bro shredding on his board.
Chowder was always meant to be a skater boy, and nothing can stand in the way of him and his board.
